More simply put, Spiritual Direction is a relational process in which a trained spiritual guide listens to and companions with someone who desires a deeper relationship with God. It teaches an awareness of God's presence with you. It will help you discern the promptings of the Holy Spirit and to hear God's voice. The relationship is ultimately between you and God.
